1st Black Child Wins National Spelling Bee
14 year-old Zaila Avant-Garde, wins the US Scripps National Spelling Bee after competing with numerous contestants. She also has won 3 world records in basketball. The Scripps Bee has been held for 96 years.
Talented and enthusiastic, it appears likely that the world, and the USA, will be admiring her efforts in various fields – far into the future. May God be with you, Zaila.
